BRIDGE LIVE Video I/O and Streaming Appliance v1.12 46 www.aja.com
In the example above, the HLS stream URL is:
http://10.8.250.1/hls/segs/master.m3u8
This URL is copied and pasted from the device that is generating the HLS stream
(in this case, an AJA HELO streaming appliance).
Auto-Detected Video Streams
To auto-detect the video stream, after you have entered the HLS stream URL,
select the green Start button in the lower right corner of the BRIDGE LIVE
interface. After a few seconds, BRIDGE LIVE will auto-detect the HLS video stream
and display a link under the heading "Auto-detected video streams" shown in
.
Click the link. In this example, the link is "Video #1: H.264 1920x1080p @29.97Hz
4:2:0 8-bit".
Clicking the auto-detected video stream link simplifies the Input stream
configuration process because it automatically captures the incoming video
stream configuration properties.
Input Stream Video Configuration Options
If you do not select the auto-detected video streams link, under the heading
"Input stream video configuration options," set the video format to match the
settings of your HLS stream source. For this example, you would need to set the
video codec to H.264, the bit depth to 8-bit, and the color sampling as 4:2:0.
Output Stream Options
Create an output stream in the manner described earlier in this chapter. See
"Adding the Output Stream" on page 42
. You could output to SDI, MPEG-TS, or
RTMP(S).
