once a year and should only be performed by a trained service technician.
Once you have these items, perform the following steps to replace the
lamps:
1. Turn the On/Off switch to Off position.
2. Unplug the power cord to the Airocide Unit.
3. Using a Phillips (cross-head) screwdriver, carefully remove the screws
securing the outer cover to the unit chassis.
4. Open the Air Inlet Port door by turning the two latches on either side of
the door panel.
5. Take care when removing the cover, as its surface is susceptible to
scratching. To remove the cover, grasp the bottom of the cover from the
Air Inlet Port side, and carefully lift up and tilt back towards the User
Interface side until the cover is free.
6. Remove the screws securing the reaction chamber door and place aside.
You will need to replace these screws after the lamp change is complete.
7. Allow the unit to cool for 5 minutes before starting the lamp change as
the bulbs will be hot.
8. Gently twist each lamp end and pull towards the top of the reaction
chamber, removing it from the lamp tube. (Refer to the photo below).
Make certain to pull from the metal tip on the end of the lamp.
9. Remove all of the lamps from your unit. Make certain to dispose of the
old lamps in accordance with local regulations.
10. From your annual maintenance kit, remove the new lamps one at a time
and insert into the lamp tubes, gently twisting as you push. Hold onto
the new lamp by the metal tip on the end – oils on your fingertips will
leave marks on the lamp which in turn may reduce the life of the lamp. If
possible, use latex gloves to avoid this issue. If you encounter resistance,
