Placement Guidance
Airocide® Systems are designed to be mounted to a wall. For certain
applications, it may be desirable to mount the unit to a ceiling. In all
instances consult an engineer or certified/licensed contractor to determine
the suitability of the desired mounting surface to sustain the weight of the
Airocide® System securely and safely.
Determining Location of
Airocide® Systems
Generally, the Airocide® System should be located centrally in a room, such
that walls, light fixtures, or any other objects do not obstruct the Air Inlet
Port or Air Outlet Port. The following are general location guidelines:
• Clearance
– It is essential to efficient operation of the Airocide®
System that the air inlet and outlet ports are at least 3 feet (1 meter)
distant from any obstructions.
• Temperature
– The air exiting the outlet port will be warm.
• Location of Suitable Power
– Make certain a suitable power outlet is
within reach of the desired location. The Airocide® System utilizes a
7-9 foot (2.30-2.75 meter) power cord.
• Proximity to Air Conditioning Systems
– Allow at least 10 feet (3
meters) of clearance between the Airocide® System and an air
conditioning system. Avoid having the exit air blowing directly towards
an air conditioning return vent.
• Orientation
– Make certain to allow at least 2 feet (.5 meters) of
clearance between the top of the Airocide® System and obstructions
in order to access and change the lamps.
