Orientation of the Airocide® System
The unit may be mounted in the following orientations:
• Horizontally
– This is the most common orientation; when facing the
unit the User Interface Panel and Air Outlet Vent are on the left side
and the Air Inlet Port is on the right.
• Vertically
– The recommended vertical orientation has the User
Interface Panel and Air Outlet Vent facing down.
Removing the Airocide® System from the Carton
Airocide® Systems consist of three major components, all of which are
securely fastened together prior to shipping. The components are as
follows:
• Outer Cover
– This outer cover protects the Airocide® System’s
components and electronics. Other than during installation and
replacement of lamps, the outer cover should remain securely in place.
• Airocide® System Chassis
– This is the base plate to which all of the
Airocide® System’s components are mounted.
• Mounting Bracket
– When properly secured to a wall or ceiling, this
bracket will support the weight of the Airocide® System chassis and
outer cover.
Preparing for Installation – Removal of the Mounting Bracket
Once the Airocide® System is removed from the carton and a decision
has been made as to where to mount the unit, installation may commence.
Begin by removing the mounting bracket by performing the following steps:
1. Place the unit on a flat, even surface.
