Network Settings Tab
The
Network Settings
screen is used to modify your network
IP Address
,
Subnet Mask
, and
Default Gateway Address
.
The screen includes the following entries:
IP Address
–
The IP address of the bridge you are working with. The IP
address for each bridge must be unique; check with your network
administrator for the correct IP address assigned to this device.
Default IP
address: 192.168.1.70.
Subnet Mask
–
The subnet mask allows networking software to
determine which parts of the IP address specify the network address and
which parts specify the host address.
Default Subnet Mask:
255.255.255.0
.
Default Gateway Address
–
IP packets destined for other subnets are
automatically sent to the default gateway, which routes the traffic to the
correct network. The gateway address must be specified following the
same convention as the IP address.
Default Gateway Address:
192.168.1.1.
