UTIONS
33
Electrical system maintenance.
Maintenance is reserved for specialist maintenance technicians, including the control and tractor hitching devices.
34
Noise produced by the machine.
During operation, the machine generates noise that is generally covered by the noise of the tractor’s engine. PPE, such
as earmuffs, must be used to avoid damage caused by noise, in accordance with the information provided in the tractor’s
operating manual.
35
Cleaning.
The operator must keep the machine clean. The machine must be cleaned before use, to ensure effective visual inspection
for machine maintenance and reliability. Avoid the risk of fires by cleaning the machine before use.
36
Coupling and hitching systems.
All systems for hitching the machine to the tractor, including the quick couplings, must be carefully cleaned to prevent the
risk of the machine unhitching from the tractor!
37
Hitching and unhitching the machine to/from the tractor.
Pay careful attention when hitching and unhitching the machine to/from the tractor.
38
Drive shaft.
Strictly observe the manufacturer’s instructions, as described in this manual.
Carefully read the manual supplied together
with the drive shaft.
39
Tractor running.
Never leave the driving position, and never allow other people to occupy the driving position. Keep other people (interested
onlookers, colleagues or family members) away from the tractor and the machine: keep people and animals away using the
visual-audible warning devices on the tractor where necessary.
40
Careful driving.
It is very important to remember that tractor road hold, steering and braking are affected when the machine is being towed,
due to its relative bulk and the load of product to be spread. On corners, the centrifugal force exerted by the position of the
machine and the load may easily cause sliding, rolling and serious and very serious injuries (even death).
41
Bolt tightness.
Periodically, when the machine is parked with suitable stabilisers and with the tractor unhitched, check the tightness of the
nuts and bolts, if necessary, tighten them using the required tools.
42
Lubrication and greasing
Strictly observe the instructions provided in this manual.
43
Clothing and personal protective equipment.
Use suitable, high-visibility clothing, safety shoes, earmuffs, protective glasses and half-masks with filters when loading the
products to be spread. For further details and information, always read the technical and safety datasheets for the products
to be spread or used for maintenance and lubrication. Absolutely avoid loose garments that may get caught in the machine
or its moving parts.
44
Safe distance.
Never approach the machine when it is operating. Keep away from the machine when it is operating and never get off the
tractor when the engine is running. Keep other people (interested onlookers, colleagues or family members, maintenance
personnel…) away from the machine when it is operating or the tractor’s engine is running.
