7.2. MAINTENANCE
The maintenance plan includes both routine and unscheduled maintenance operations.
Routine maintenance
Includes all periodical maintenance operations carried out by the operator to ensure good
operation of the machine.
Unscheduled maintenance
and repairs
Includes all maintenance operations performed when required (replacements due to breakages,
malfunctions, etc....) carried out by qualified personnel and duly supervised by the manufacturer.
Before proceeding with adjustments, maintenance or repairs, the operator must acquire and wear the personal protective equipment
required by safety standards, such as:
Use protective gloves
Use safety shoes
Use protective overalls
Use protective glasses
7.2.1. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance
operations include the following:
Daily operations
(performed by the operator)

general inspections

functional tests (checking operation of the push-button control panel)
Weekly operations
(performed by specialist personnel)

visual inspection of all mechanisms
s¬
checking moving parts
s¬
checking functions and condition of the push-button control panel and
corresponding safety components
Monthly or periodical operations
(performed by specialist personnel)
s¬
visual inspection of all parts, removing any guards or protection devices
s¬
checking moving parts
s¬
checking lubricants and/or grease
s¬
checking all the electrical control parts
s¬
checking the condition of power supply lines, cables and chains for moving
equipment and components
s¬
checking efficiency and condition of the structure.
The operations listed above must be explained and performed practically on the machine during the training performed following
installation of the machine. During this stage, the technical instructor

will highlight all anomalies, maintenance and
danger situations and the solutions to work in complete safety when resolving the problems.
