Making Measurements

Measuring Optical Power

Description

Optical power measurement can be performed on theSDH/ SONET signal
connected to the Optical module IN port.

HOW TO:

Connect the SDH/SONET optical signal to the IN port of the Optical Interface
module.

Choose the received input signal rate on the

display.

Select ,

as shown above.

N O T E

1. Optical power measurement is always available even if test timing is off.
2. The green portion of the colored bar shows the power range for accurate BER
measurement.
