Tighten or reconnect the carrier gas connection at the
transfer line. Open the shutoff valve to pressurize the carrier
flow path. The Carrier (PSI) should recharge within a
minute.

Open the lid. The sample probe disengages from the leak test
vial. The Vial (PSI) should drop to almost 0 psi within 1
minute.

Turn off the carrier shutoff valve at the back of the
Headspace Sampler.

. Record the time and initial pressure values in
the table.

Allow 5 minutes to pass. Record the final time and pressure
values in
. Carefully close the lid of the sampler so
the sample probe enters the leak test vial.
A pressure decay of more than 2 psi over 5 minutes indicates a
leak. If there is a leak, call an Agilent service representative.
Press the
Clear
key to end the leak test.
