Writing text messages 

 

Changing between predictive text and normal mode, 
upper and lower case

 

While you are in the main text field, press the 

Capital 

letter

 key to change between predictive text and normal 

mode; upper case and lower case. Predictive text mode is 
indicated in orange. 
 

Using predictive text 

In predictive text mode, press the 

5-way navigation

 

key up to view the previous word, and down to view 
the next word; middle-press to select the visible word. 
You can accept a visible word and add a space after it 
simultaneously by pressing the 

O

 key. You can also view 

the next word by pressing the 

Symbol

 key. 

 

Inserting symbols 

In normal mode, while you are in the main text field, 
press the 

Symbol

 key to access the symbol menu.  

In predictive text mode, press and hold the 

Symbol

 key 

to access the symbol menu. Use the 

5-way navigation

 key  

to highlight a symbol for insertion and middle-press  
to insert. 
 

Inserting numbers 

While you are in the main text field, press and hold the 

Alt

 key and a number key. Alternatively, press and hold  

a number key. 
 

Changing the input language 

While you are in the main text field, press and hold the 

Capital letter

 key. Highlight the language from the pop-

up menu and centre- or right-press the 

5-way navigation 

key to confirm. Changing the input language in a text 
message will not affect the language setting of the phone. 
 

Deleting multiple text messages 

To delete multiple messages from your 

Inbox

, highlight 

the message you would like to delete and press the 

Capital letter

 key. The selected message will be framed. 

Repeat until you have selected all the messages you wish 
to delete. Select 

Options

 and choose 

Delete selected

 from 

the pop-up menu.  
 
Received text messages are stored on your SIM card. When 
the card memory is full, your 

Inbox

 will be marked 

FULL

 
If the SIM card is full, you will not receive any new text 
messages until you have deleted some existing ones.  
 

Sending vCards 

You can send the details of one of your contacts in 
vCard format. Go to 

Menu \ Contacts

 and choose your 

contact. Select 

Send vCard

 from the pop-up menu. Enter 

the recipient’s number in the 

To

 field. Alternatively, to 

input a contact, press the 

Capital letter

 key to change 

to letter input mode, begin to key in the contact name 
and centre-press the 

5-way navigation 

key to retrieve a 

filtered list from 

Contacts.

 Choose a recipient and select 

Select

 to insert. Select 

Send

 or press the 

Call

 key.  

 

Receiving vCards 

If you receive a vCard it can be saved directly to 

Contacts

Go to

 Menu \ Messaging \ Inbox

 and open the message. 

Select 

Save

. Fill in any additional details in the fields  

and select 

OK
