CAUTION: Your safety and the safe operation of this dehumidifier are very important to us.
All safety and operating instructions should be read, adhered to and followed
before the unit is operated. Incorrect operation may cause harm or damage.
This dehumidifier is for indoor use only!
When using your Pure & Dry dehumidifier, basic precautions should always be observed,
including the following:
• The dehumidifier must be directly connected to a grounded 110-120 VAC/60Hz power
supply outlet.
• Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the ground pin from the power cord.
• Do not exceed the Amp rating of the power outlet.
• Do not use an extension cord or power strip.
• Do not operate unit if the cord or plug is damaged.
• Do not modify power plug or cord or use a 3-prong to 2-prong adapter.
• Do not place dehumidifier near heat sources such as heaters or open fire.
• For your safety, do not store or use combustible materials, gasoline or other flammable
vapors or liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.
• Disconnect the power if strange sounds, smells or smoke come from the unit.
• Always disconnect the power before cleaning or maintaining the unit or when not in use.
• Never operate this dehumidifier in an area that is likely to accumulate standing water. If this
condition develops, for your safety, disconnect the power supply before stepping into the
water.
• Never unplug by pulling on the cord. Grasp the plug and pull straight out of the receptacle.
• Do not repair, disassemble and/or modify the unit by yourself.
• There must be free space of at least 12” (30.5cm) between any other object and the
dehumidifier.
• This unit is not a toy. Do not permit children or others with limitations to operate unit.
• Do not rest heavy or hot objects on top of the dehumidifier or immerse in water.
• Do not use harsh or abrasive-type chemicals to clean the filter or unit.
• Ensure curtains or other hanging objects are not obstructing air intake and exhaust.
• To help reduce noise and vibration and ensure proper drainage, dehumidifier should be
positioned on a firm level surface.
