4.7 Diode Measurement
WARNING:
Make sure that there is no power
in the tested sample or circuit (dead circuit).
• Turn the rotary range switch to the
range.
• Insert red test lead to the red “
+
” input jack and the
black lead to the black “
COM
” input jack.
• Bring the test probe tips into contact with the sample
under test.
• If the polarity of the test leads are reversed with diode
polarity, the digital reading shows ≥ 3.0. This can be
used for distinguishing anode and cathode terminals
of a diode.
