• YUV: Select this option if a television is connected to the COMPONENT OUTPUT (YUV, COMPONENT VIDEO, Y,
Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr; green-blue-red jacks) of the machine.
• RGB: Select this option if a television is connected to the SCART-OUTPUT of the device.
Notes:
If the video output setting does not correspond to the connection type between the DVD machine and the con-
nected television, the picture may be of poor quality.
TV MODE: Television signal (Video-Mode)
In the TV MODE menu item, you can set the video mode (the television signal mode), provided that you have al-
ready selected the option YUV or RGB for the Video output VIDEO OUTPUT. For details refer to the previous chapter.
The following options are available:
• PROGRESSIVE: Select this option if the DVD machine is connected to a television with the scan type PROGRES
-
SIVE SCAN. Only specific television sets support progressive scan. If you select this option for a conventional
(analogue) television, there will be no picture reception.
• INTERLACE: Select this option if the DVD machine is connected to a conventional (analogue) television support
-
ing INTERLACED scanning.
COLOR SETTING: Colour settings
General notes
In this menu item you can improve the picture quality by selecting the following menu items and required levels
using the navigation buttons: SHARPNESS, BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, GAMMA (Contrast Index), HUE and SATURA-
TION.
If you have adjusted the colour settings, confirm the settings with PLAY/ENTER.
PREFERENCE PAGE: Preferred Settings
General Notes
In the PREFERENCE PAGE menu, you can set, for example, your preferred language as the default language. The
machine gives this setting precedence over the standard language of the respective DVD disc.
In this submenu, you also can introduce an age restriction for specific films (film content).
Important!
The submenu PREFERENCE PAGE is only active if the disc has been stopped or if no disc is inserted.
