RATING:
Many DVDs provide information on the target
group. The procedure here is similar to that of the cer-
tification system for cinema films (“Suitable for children
aged 12 and over” for example).
If you have activated the child protection option, the
corresponding information is read out from the DVD, if
available, and compared with your pre-set value. If the
DVD is intended for an older age group than that which
has been pre-set by you, the DVD cannot be played.
The following child protection options can be selected
after the password lock has been unlocked:
–
1 KID Safe:
Suitable for children.
–
2 G:
Suitable for all age groups.
–
3 PG:
Parental supervision is recommended. Some
parts of the film may be unsuitable for small children.
–
4 PG 13:
Parental supervision is strongly recom-
mended. Some parts of the film may be unsuitable
for children under the age of 13.
–
5 PG-R:
Parental supervision is necessary.
–
6 R:
Young people under the age of 17 may only see
the film if accompanied by an adult.
–
7 NC17:
Children and young people under the age
of 17 may not see the film.
–
8 ADULT:
The film may only be seen by adults.
After you have entered the settings you have to lock the
password lock again so that unauthorised individuals
cannot change the settings again.
