Power-on Tx
: The choices are LAST or OFF. This menu function allows the operator to select
the power up state of the Tx (modulation & carrier) function.
LAST will set the modulation and carrier state to the state they were in when the DVE5000
powered down.
OFF will always force the modulation and carrier to OFF, when the unit next powers up.
Factory default is OFF, as this is operationally safer than LAST, which should be used with
caution.
0dB Level
: To allow for different system gains, the DVE5000 can have it’s maximum output
level (at L-band) set to 5dBm or -5dBm.
Note with +5dBm there is a 40dB control range available while with the maximum output set to
-5dBm the control is 35dB.

10MHz REF
: Some DVE5000’s may be fitted with a very high stability reference oscillator,
which may be injected onto the L-Band output connector to provide a “reference” to an external
block up-converter. This is a chargeable licenced option so this menu may not appear.
