2.6.3 Management Interface
The management interface board has three types of IO interfaces, RS-232 console,
10/100/1000M Ethernet, and USB 2.0, for system management. A mini-USB connector
connects to a USB to UART chip for system debug port usage. All interfaces are
connected to Intel Rangeley on SWM. The system can be managed remotely or locally
via this interface board.
2.7 Backplane
2.7.1 Data Backplane
The data backplane offers interconnections between the CPU blade and the SWM
board. KR4 and KR interconnections are used for the fabric interfaces, and
1000Base-KX is used for system management. Two IPMB buses are used as local
management interfaces between the SWM board and these CPU blades. There are
twelve CPU blade slots, and each slot has unique 4-bit ID for HW addressing. ShMC
will identify these IDs to communicate with each CPU blade via IPMB.
2.7.2 Power Backplane
The system power backplane contains four identical sub-groups; each group receives
12V DC power. Every sub-group includes three power connectors, each of which
provides 12V DC power with maximum 20A for single CPU blade.

2.8.1 Power Subsystem Specifications
The PAC-4010 supports two different power supply redundancy chassis, N+1 (3+1)
redundancy and 2+2 redundancy.
In 2+2 power redundancy chassis, four 1800W PSUs are divided into two groups. Each
group has two PSU with load-sharing mode and same AC (or DC) source. These two
groups provide system 3600W + 3600W redundant power.

power redundancy subsystem block diagram.
