Jumper Settings “Interface”
The interface through which the
ADICOS M-BUSMASTER XF
communicates can be configured
with the jumpers A0 and A1.

The setting “Operation via RS-232 interface” corresponds to classic master operation. The
data from the detector connected to the M-Bus is transferred for further processing via the
RS-232 interface to a PC with ADICOS software.
M-BUS Repeater
If the setting “Operation via M-Bus input” was selected, the
ADICOS M-BUSMASTER XF
works in
slave mode. This means that the data is not transmitted to a PC but to a higher-ranking M-Bus
master instead. This feature is essential with larger systems or when cables to the service PC
are outside of the permitted range (max. 3 m).
