ABSTRACT
Abstract
The Advanced Discovery System (ADICOS) is used for early detection of fires in industrial
environments. It is comprised of various separate detector units. With aid of suitable arrange
-
ment and parameterization he system meets a specified detection goal, without being sus
-
pectable to interference.
The detectors are connected to a central evaluation software via the ADICOS M-Bus. It allows
the parameterization of each individual detector and the storage of all sensor data for statis
-
tical evaluation.
ADICOS GSME are fire detectors equipped with semiconductor gas sensors and an intelligent
analysis electronics. By monitoring the concentration of typical fire gases, they detect open
and hidden fires already in the initial phase. Alarms are transmitted by means of integrated
relays and via the M-Bus.
In case special interface modules are used, the devices can also be integrated into fire alarm
systems of common manufacturers and transmit their operating status to the fire alarm control
panel.
