4. Unit Installation
The MagnaClean CMX Nano Pumped Sidestream unit should be installed onto a solid wall or
fabricated skid or support structure of suffi cient strength to support the fi lled weight of the unit of
c.23kg using the mounting dimensions shown below. Ensure the minimum clearance requirements
detailed in Fig.2 on page 4 are followed to allow for servicing of the unit.
IMPORTANT: This unit can be connected to a heating or chilled system in any location in a
sidestream confi guration via the two 28mm compression ball valves included with the unit. As the
unit is driven by an integrated pump,
the inlet & outlet connections must both be connected to
EITHER the main system fl ow OR the system return. The inlet & outlet connections must not be
connected across the system fl ow and system return or across a system pump, as would be the
case in a standard sidestream installation confi guration. If the unit is installed incorrectly, it may
result in the unit not operating as intended.
The inlet and outlet connections should be
150cm apart to prevent back-circulation of system water.

IMPORTANT: Whilst the MagnaClean CMX Nano fi lter attached to this unit carries a min/max
temperature rating of -10⁰C to +150⁰C, when installed as an integral part of this pumped sidestream
unit as it is, the
MagnaClean CMX Nano fi lter min/max temperature rating is +2⁰C to +100⁰C only.
