9. Maintenance – MagnaClean CMX Nano Filter
The following steps should be followed when servicing the MagnaClean CMX Nano filter:

1. Turn off the power to the pumped
sidestream unit via the power
switch.
4. Loosen lid clamp, remove and
lower the body away from the
housing lid. Filter may be hot.
Handle with care.
7. If filter cartridge is blocked
with system debris, install a
new cartridge and tighten the
compression nut.
2. Close both isolation valves at the
base of the unit to isolate the filter
from the main system.
5. Unscrew compression nut,
remove cartridge filter, (if installed)
and put safely to one side.
8. Offer up the filter body to the lid
assembly, ensuring that the O-ring is
positioned and re-installed correctly.
3. Connect hose to the drain port and
slowly open the valve to release any
residual pressure remaining within
the housing body. Drain the filter.
6. Clean suspended magnet
assembly thoroughly removing all
magnetite.
9. Re-assemble lid clamp and
tighten. Re-check all connections
and open isolation valves at base
of unit.
