11. Maintenance – MagnaClean CMX Midi Filter
Servicing of the
CMX Midi
filter should be carried out by a qualified plumber or service engineer.

1. Turn off the power to the unit via
the power switch.
4. Loosen & remove the lid clamp
and carefully remove the filter lid.
The filter housing/lid may be hot.
Handle with care.
7. If the filter cartridges need
replacing, remove each spring &
cartridge and install three new filter
cartridges.
2. Close both isolation valves at the
top of the unit to isolate the filter
from the main system.
5. Undo the wing nut & remove
the compression plate. Carefully
remove the magnet assembly from
the filter.
8. Place the springs into the top of
each cartridge and carefully re-
insert the clean magnet assembly
into the filter.
3. Connect a hose to the upper drain
port. Loosen the lid clamp & slowly
open the drain port valve to release
any residual pressure inside the
filter. Drain the filter.
6. Clean all three magnets
thoroughly, removing all magnetic
debris. Carefully put the magnet
assembly to one side.
9. Replace the compression plate,
tightening the wing nut to secure
the filters and magnets within the
housing.
