Software update instructions
14.1 Manual update procedure
When a software update is released, to install it in the 2WIN-S, follow the instructions at
adaptica.com >
Products > 2WIN-S > Technical Information > Downloads > Software Installation Instructions

The operator is not allowed to perform a DOWNGRADE of the software. Adaptica is not responsible
for the improper use of the device with a downgraded software version.
When the software update procedure is performed, the 2WIN-S
’
battery must be fully charged.
The last Firmware version is 1.6. If the 2WIN-S is not using this version (you can check it in the 2WIN
Menu > Help > About > BP), please download the latest version at adaptica.com > Products > 2WIN-S
> Technical Information > Downloads > Firmware Update, unzip it and insert the file inside the root
folder of the MicroSD card.
14.2 Automatic update procedure
To exploit the automatic update, 2WIN-S must be connected to a Wi-Fi network with Internet
connection.
An automatic software update procedure is available for 2WIN-S. When a new software version is released,
and the 2WIN-S is connected to a Wi-Fi network with internet access, the update is notified on the screen of
the 2WIN inside 2WIN-S.
At 2WIN-S
’
start-up, the system checks if a new update is available. If it is, the new software version and
release date are reported on the
2WIN’s
screen, and the user can decide to download it or not.
The automatic update notification is visible only on the 2WIN screen.
If you decline the update pressing CANCEL, the message will disappear until the next update check; if you
want to update your 2WIN-S press OK and the software download will start.
Before starting the update, make sure that the MicroSD card is inserted, and that the battery is fully charged.
