Entering and Viewing Preference Information

You use the Preferences dialog box to enter or view information 
about how event notifications are handled and to enable and 
configure password protection for servers and networked clients.

Changing Filter Options

You can control what kinds of event entries are listed in both the 
System Monitor window and the Historic Event Log. Follow these 
steps to change the filter settings globally:
