BUTTONS
Two buttons are located on the right of the display. They are mainly used to control the backlight intensity.
They can also be used to turn on and off the system.
Light sensor
Increase backlight intensity
Decrease backlight intensity
Backlight control
The backlight intensity level is derived from a light sensor and a dimmer. The dimmer is controlled by the
buttons. Pressing the upper button increases the dimmer while pressing the lower button decreases it. The
dimmer level is maintained when the IHMI v2 is turned off.
System On and Off
Normally the system power is controlled by the ignition signal. However, the IHMI v2 can be configured to not
automatically start when the ignition goes on. In that case, pressing any button during more than half second,
while the ignition signal is on, turns the system on (cf. Z2 in DOC02092).
In the same manner, a system shutdown is requested when the ignition signal goes off. The user can force
this request by pressing the two buttons for more than 2 seconds.
If for some reason, the system is frozen, it is also possible to turned it off by pressing a second time the two
buttons more than 2 seconds. Then it can be restarted by pressing any button during more than half a
second.
