Open the sensor access panel located on the left side of the base below the sheave guard by
removing the four retaining screws.
Step 3

Fill the bin with granulate of the material you intend to run through the granulator.
Make sure you fill the bin to a level that covers the front face of the plastic sensor well,
located on the rear wall of the bin.
Step 4

Return the bin to the machine by sliding it onto the rails located under the cutting chamber.
•
Make sure that the bin is fully closed by visually inspecting the front face of the bin. It
should be flush against the front wall of the rail support, with no gap .
If a gap appears, the bin well is misaligned with the sensor.
•
Loosen, but do not remove, the locking nut securing the well to the bin and re-position the
well so that the bin closes fully.
•
Re-tighten the locking nut.
Step 5
•
Locate the sensor inside the machine base by entering at the access port below the sheave
guard.
•
Using a small screwdriver, locate and turn the potentiometer located on the rear face of the
sensor.
Turning the potentiometer clockwise (CW) increases sensitivity and activates the alarm.
Turning counterclockwise (CCW) decreases sensitivity and shuts off the alarm.
•
With the bin in place, turn the potentiometer so that the alarm sounds, then rotate
counterclockwise (CCW) until the alarm just goes off. Now rotate clockwise (CW) one-
half to one (½-1) turn.
The sensor is now set.
Step 6
•
Press the emergency
STOP
switch and turn the machine disconnect switch to
OFF
, or
otherwise disconnect the machine from the main power supply.
