5-6 Adjusting Bin Level Monitor Sensitivity
Although the bin level sensor was installed and tested at the factory to ensure reliable operation,
variations in the physical properties of the material you run through the granulator require that
you adjust the sensor to suit your particular requirements. So follow these steps during initial
pre-operational electrical testing, and whenever you change the type of material run through the
granulator.
Step 1
•
Make sure that power is supplied to the machine by turning the main disconnect switch to
the
ON
position, or connecting the control enclosure to the main power source.
•
Disengage the locking emergency stop button on the operator station by turning it
clockwise and releasing.
•
DO NOT START THE MACHINE
.
Step 2
•
Open the bin door at the front of the machine and slide the bin out of the machine.
During this operation, the sensor alarm may sound briefly. This is normal and indicates that
the sensor is “watching” the bin slide past.
