Terminal Guards
The fl ue outlet should be protected with a terminal guard conforming to BS5440-1
if persons could come into contact with it, or if it could be damaged or if it is in a
vulnerable posi � on such as where the fl ue discharge is within easy reach from the
ground (less than 2m) balcony, veranda or an opening window.
The fl ue outlet can be either taken from the standard top exit or converted rear exit of
the appliance.
