USER MANUAL 16-2000-120
Rev. 02/2016
Do not restrict unit cooling during its operation. It means that the unit cannot be covered with
anything during its operation. If the unit rests on a shelf, ensure that there is at least 2 [cm]
clearance above the unit.
Failure to ensure the appropriate cooling conditions will cause the overheating to occur earlier
and to last longer.
Do not put any objects on the unit. Due to the risk of flooding, the unit should be installed above
and at a distance from fluids and irrigation tubing.
9.5. MONOPOLAR CUTTING
Monopolar cutting is available at both sockets OUT1 and OUT2 after the appropriate monopolar instrument is
connected.
As a rule, cutting is performed using a knife or loop electrode. The manner of connecting electrodes is
explained in Fig. 6. Before starting the cutting select the operating mode: pure cutting or with hemostasis. The
mode is selected with buttons K1 and K2.
Pure cutting (
K1
) – cutting with a minimum hemostasis margin, which damages the tissue to
the least extent. It is used where there is no need for additional bleeding control.
Cutting with hemostasis (
K2
) – cutting involving an enhanced margin of coagulation of the
tissue being cut. It controls bleeding more strongly and has a greater thermal impact on the
tissue.

In the cutting mode, the unit is activated using the yellow button in the electrode handle, or the
yellow or grey button of the footswitch.
