Removing a Board
Whenever you physically remove any board, remove its configuration stored in the NVRAM by
reconfiguring the computer.
Follow these steps when you remove a board:
1.
If the computer is on, turn it off and remove the board.
2.
Insert the System Configuration diskette in drive A and turn on the computer. A message
appears telling you that the configuration is not correct.
3.
When the ECU logo screen and the welcome screen appears, press
to display the Main
Menu.
4.
Select Configure computer from the Main Menu then press
. The screen Steps in
Configuring Your Computer appears.
5.
Select Step 2: Add or remove boards and press
.
6.
From the list of boards that appear, select the board that you want to remove from the
configuration and press
. A remove confirmation screen appears.
7.
Press
. The screen Step 2: Add or Remove Boards reappears.
8.
Press
when done.
9.
Follow steps 5 through 17 in “Configuring Your Computer for the First Time” to complete
your configuration.
