Using the Generic ISA CFG File
The ECU has a Generic ISA CFG file that you may use to reserve the required system resources
for ISA boards that do not have a corresponding CFG file. Select the Generic ISA CFG file option
if you cannot locate the CFG file for the ISA board either in the System Configuration diskette,
option configuration diskette, or in the CFG File Library diskette.
Follow these steps to configure an ISA board using the Generic ISA CFG file:
1. Locate the manufacturer’s documentation for the ISA board. This documentation allows you
to determine the required resources for the ISA board.
2. Run ECU. See the “Running ECU” section.
3. From the Main Menu, select Configure computer then press . The screen Steps in
Configuring Your Computer appears.
4. Select Step 2: Add or remove boards and press .
5. From the Step 2: Add or Remove Boards screen, select Add by pressing . The Add
screen then appears with instructions on how to locate the diskette that contains the CFG file
for your board(s).
6. Press
to display the screen Select a Configuration (CFG) File to Add. See next page.

If the desired CFG file is not on this list, select ‘Not Listed’ or
select ‘Directory=F7’ to search another directory.
