Split (Serial) Configuration
•
One cable connected from the system board (CN29) to the backplane board
(CN12 or CN13)
•
This creates a serial configuration, therefore the start terminator is on
the system board and must be set to Enabled. The end terminator is on
the SCSI backplane board and is always Enabled.
•
For this configuration, the maximum SCSI HDD quantity for one
channel is four.
The figure below shows the correlation between SCSI hard disk connectors
and switch ID settings.
