12.3.8 Special considerations for external devices at the interfaces
The maximum power consumption of external devices at the COM interface and the 4 USB interfaces must
not exceed 8 Watts.
When connecting external devices to the interfaces, the electrical isolation of the voltage supply ceases to be
effective if the external device has an electrically conductive connection to another electrical supply circuit.
12.4 Battery Operation
The MFT10/MFT12/MFT15 is equipped with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. Depending on the
power consumption and temperature the runtime with a fully charged battery is approx. 1.5 hours.

MFT device.

12.5.1 HF-RFID Reader (optional)
The MFT10 and MFT12 with Windows
®
operating system are available with an integrated HF-RFID reader
(optional). The HF-RFID reader is positioned below the upper black antenna cover (see the following image)
Characteristics:
Read distance 35 mm when using class 1 tags (81 mm x 49 mm)
Supported protocols: ISO/IEC 14443 MiFare Classic, DESFire, I-CODE ISO/IEC 15693)
