Snap the program key back onto the USB 
blue dot receptor, and click the “Read Key” 
icon. 

The new lock id number will appear in the 
retrieve window 

Click on the 'Add Lock icon 
 

Note: If the lock already exists in the system, the “Exist in Database” will show “True”. You cannot add the 
same lock to the system again without first deleting it from the PC program database

. No lock can have 

duplicate records in the PC software.

 

 

Type in a lock name, location, and the lock 
type, then click the 'Save' button. 

Select the default options you want by 
clicking on the check boxes provided. 

Select 'Issue Key' from the bottom of the 
menu, and answer 'OK' to any popup 
warnings. Use the program key on the lock 
reader following steps 6-8 above.
