14.1 Adjusting the clearance of the electromagnetic clutch
The clearance of the electromagnetic clutch has to be checked during regular service (see
timescales on page 28). The clearance should be 0,3 mm. Re-adjust the clutch if needed.
Incorrect clearance causes, clutch drag or clutch slip, preventing the correct operation of the
ABLOY
®
door operator.
Remove the position sensor before
adjusting the clutch (see p.14). Loosen
two holding screws. Move the clutch
plate with a screwdriver and mallet, if
necessary.
Note! Do not insert any object between
clutch plates, as damage may occur.
Holding screws
To adjust clearance of the clutch, use
clearance gauge (0,3 mm). Insert the
gauge between the clutch plates and
adjust the clearance by pushing the
clutch from area showed in the drawing.
Check that the clearance is equal in the
whole clutch. Note! Do not adjust the
clearance by pushing from the clutch
plate.
Tighten two holding screws. Re-install
the position sensor.
