2.1 Safety instructions
With regard to installation of your
extractor:
Always have the extractor installed by an
approved installer.
The extractor may only be used for the
extraction of cooking fumes.
The distance between the bottom of the
extractor and the top of the cooker must be
at least 75 cm with a gas cooker or 65 mm
with other types of cooker.
The extractor must be connected to its
own, separate exhaust duct. Do not con-
nect the extractor to an existing duct used
for other purposes unless it is a CMVR®
version, in which case it must be connected
to the CMV system.
If the motor is directly accessible through
the filter openings, safety screens must al-
ways be fitted on the motor.
With regard to using your extractor:
Do not prepare flambé dishes under the
extractor.
Deep-frying and grilling under the extractor
must always be performed with constant
supervision, since the oil or fat can catch
fire.
Ensure an adequate supply of fresh air to
obtain good ventilation.
Never switch on the extractor without the
filters in place.
With regard to cleaning your extractor:
Switch off the extractor before removing
the filters for cleaning.
Wait two minutes after switching off the
extractor before removing the filters, to
allow the motor to stop running.
Before replacing bulbs or cleaning the
interior of the extractor, unplug the power
cable of the extractor or switch off the
circuit that powers the extractor.
