4. START-UP
4. Start-up
Important – Please read the instructions for use in full provided with the SoToxa™ Test Kit, prior to commencing a test.
4.1 Login
Turn on the SoToxa™ Mobile Analyzer by pressing on the power button situated on the right hand side. The Abbott screen will be displayed as
the analyzer boots up:
On completion of boot up, the user will be required to enter the operator or supervisor passcode before being able to gain access to the
analyzer. The passcode entered will dictate which functions the user has access to (see section 5 User Access Levels for more information).
To login, enter your passcode using the five way navigation key, then select Login. If successful, the analyzer will display the prompt to enter
the operator ID/name (see 4.3 Operator name/ID entry).
A Supervisor will be able to change the operator and supervisor passcodes as needed (see section 10.2 Passcode management).
If the passcode was not recognised, the analyzer will remain on the secure login screen and a login failure message will be displayed. A test will
not be able to commence until the user is successfully logged in.
4.2
Login recovery
In the event of both the operator and supervisor passcodes being forgotten, the supervisor can recover the passcodes. Contact Customer
Services and ask them for a recovery code, providing them with the analyzer serial number and the date/time as displayed on the analyzer.
The Supervisor will be issued with a six character recovery code which is valid for seven days. To enter the recovery code, press the left soft
key from the login screen.
Press the right soft key to transition to the next screen and enter the six character recovery code and submit.
On entering a valid code the Supervisor will be able to now reset the supervisor and operator passcodes as detailed in section 2.10 Passcode setup.
