1. Introduction
1.1. Purpose of the manual / operating instructions
The aim of this manual is the provision of the necessary information on handling, installation and
maintenance of the operating unit JSD-TD25P-xxxxxx/JSTD25P-1.
Furthermore, the use of the operating unit is described as a two-hand control (optionally portable) or as
a manual input device, which requires simultaneous use of both hands.
The manual also contains references to additional documentation that is required for connecting the
operating unit JSD TD25P-xxxxxx/JSTD25P-1 to a safety switching device.
1.2. Target group
This document is mainly aimed at designers, installers and maintenance engineers who must have the
following knowledge:

Basic knowledge of ABB/Jokab Safety products
•
Knowledge of safety circuits equipments
•
Knowledge of machine safety and harmonized and relevant standards.
As well as other users handling the operating unit who have been trained on the use and dangers and
are authorized by the plant operator.
