Linking Properties to Graphic Elements
Sometime you need a property located on e.g. an ObjectIcon to be linked to the
surrounding Graphic Element. This makes the property changeable when the
Process Objects are instantiated.
In this example we want to link the property for the HighLimit of the PLC Connect
Tank Object to the surrounding Graphic Element. See
This Property is a Double (real), representing the max volume of the tank.
Using Expression Builder to link a Property
Linking Properties is done with the Expression Builder.
The Expression Builder opens up from the Toolbar. Adjust the window size of the
Expression Builder, especially the height.
To link the property for the HighLimit, proceed as follow:
1.
Select the tab for Input Properties. See
.
2.
Click the Add Button. See
3.
Enter a Name for the Input Property and select the Data Type, in this case a
Double. See
