Data Entry
8.1
General Description
The data can be entered in a number of languages using the three keys on the converter. After the power is
turned on, the instrument automatically conducts a number of selftest routines. After they have been
successfully completed the standard display appears (process information). The variables to be displayed
can be selected by the user.
Data can be entered using the Magnet Stick without opening the housing cover.
The values can be displayed in a four line format, or for improved readability at the meter location, in a two
line format with larger characters. The values to be displayed can be individually selected in the submenu
Display. The contrast setting in the submenu Display can be used to adjust the display for the ambient light
conditions. During data entry the converter remains online, i.e., the current and pulse outputs continue to
indicate the actual flowrate values. During a power outage or when the power is turned off, all parameter
settings and totalizer values are securely stored in a FRAM.
