Pins without a signal designation are not connected.
Please note:
The cables provided by ABB are internally connected for 120
Ω
(pins a, b).
Please note:
In transmit direction the b signals are available on three pins per port.
→
Avoid unintentional connections to the pins with the redundant out-
puts.
Risk of operating trouble!
E1 ports which are not connected at the remote end of the cable can cause
cross talk.
Cross talk onto such an open-ended cable can cause spurious alarms.
→
Set the administrative state of these ports to “down”.
4.4.2
8 x 2 Mbit/s cable 120
Ω
The 8 x 2 Mbit/s cable for 120
Ω
symmetrical termination interfaces each E1
port of the LEDE1 unit. It is an open ended twisted pair cable. The wires of
this cable have to be terminated in an MDF provided by the customer. The
length of the cable can be specified.
Latching clips must be used to secure the cable to the LEDE1 front connec-
tor.
For details on LEDE1 cables, please refer to
4.4.3
8 x 2 Mbit/s 75
Ω
termination
The 8 x 2 Mbit/s 75
Ω
asymmetrical termination consists of a 120
Ω
symmet-
rical cable and an external impedance converter.
Latching clips must be used to secure the cable to the LEDE1 front connec-
tor.
For details on LEDE1 cables, please refer to
4.4.4
Fixing the cables to the cable tray
When operating the LEDE1 unit in a FOX615, the cable must be attached to
the cable tray as shown in the
.
