9.2 Check the lining of the brakes and the climbing feet

NOTE - Minimum thickness for brake lining = 1 mm. Should the lining be thinner or damaged, contact the
manufacturer, AAT field service or authorised personnel!

NOTE - If the foot lining is worn or broken, please have both climbing feet replaced by the
manufacturer, AAT field service or your authorised dealer!
Check the brake lining of the
safety brakes regularly.
Please also check the
climbing feet castors for
damage on a regular basis.
9.3 Cleaning and disinfection
WARNING - Check safety brakes after cleaning (Chapter 6.5)!
WARNING – Do not smoke during cleaning!
WARNING – It is important to prevent moisture from getting into the device!
Only use moist cloths. Avoid wet cloths without fail!
NOTE - Clean the safety brakes and the brake drums in the wheel rims weekly or after
contamination using alcohol! Follow the hazard notes on the alcohol!
NOTE - Keep the s-max away from sources of ignition!
NOTE – Do not use a high-pressure cleaner!
Clean upholstery covers as
well as all surfaces, that are
in contact with the skin of the
occupant after each use.
» Only use household
cleaning detergents to wipe
surfaces clean.
All other components can
be wiped clean with a mild
conventional household
detergent.
» Follow the hazard notes on
the detergent before each
use!
Should you need to disinfect,
clean it by wiping with
household disinfectants
and take note of the
manufacturer’s specifications.
