8.7 Laying the device down on the stairs / emergency stop function
Lay down the s-max
» Safety brakes prevent from
rolling down!
» Keep the UP/DOWN switch
pressed until the climber is
fully retracted.
Please note:
When laying
down the s-max on the
stairs it
has
to lie on its main
wheels. Otherwise the safety
brakes may not grip!
Emergency stop function
In hazardous situations follow the next steps:
» 1 - Release the UP/DOWN switch
» 2 - Turn off the s-max by pressing the ON/OFF switch
» 3 - Pull out the safety chip for the engine immobiliser
» Lay down the s-max as mentioned
Eliminate the hazardous situation and start climbing again

Insert the safety chip
»
Switch on s-max via the ON/OFF switch
»
Press the UP/DOWN switch
8.8 Parking

NOTE - Only park the s-max on fl at ground.

NOTE - Charge the battery pack after each use.
The automatic switch-off turns it off during longer periods of inactivity.
Turn the s-max
OFF
fi rst and then
ON
.
Set in neutral position.
» Climber must be fully
retracted.
Turn off s-max by pressing
the ON/OFF switch.
Pull out the safety chip for
engine immobiliser.
