7.6 Climbing stairs - Downwards
NOTE - It is mandatory to observe the safety instructions in chapter 7!
DANGER - As soon as the climbing leg starts taking the load you will feel the handles pulling.
Tilt the s-max closer to the ground to counteract!
Adjust neutral position.
» The climbing leg must be
completely retracted.
Extract the bracket and
release the locking device on
the castors.
Tilt the s-max aviation and
keep it balanced.
Push the s-max aviation
forward until the safety brakes
engage.
Press the UP/DOWN switch
in the DOWN direction.
»
If the single-step mode has
been activated, keep UP/
DOWN switch pressed until
s-max stops by itself.
The s-max aviation climbs
down.
Push the s-max aviation
forward until the safety brakes
engage.
Repeat procedure starting
with image 4

Turning mechanism:
Extract the bracket and
release the locking device on
the castors.
Press the UP/DOWN switch
in the UP direction until the
balls touch the ground.
