4.3 Intended purpose
The stair climbers are guided manually and are operated by an operator. Operation only by two trained per-
sons who are physically and mentally capable of operating the CR23 safely! The second person only serves as
a safeguard!
They make it possible to transport a single person with reduced mobility safely over stairs, upwards and down-
wards. The products have been designed for indoor and outdoor use, and moving on spiral stairs and slopes
is possible, too.
The intended patient population includes all persons who are able to sit upright unaided (secured with belts
if necessary) and have a maximum body weight corresponding to the technical specification of the respective
model and variant (max. 230 kg).
