6 Starting up

NOTE - Store the CR23 in a frost-free environment for at least one hour prior to start-up to
avoid malfunctions or defects.

NOTE - Press UP/DOWN switch only a few seconds after switching on!
5.3 Pulling out the supporting handle
WARNING - Do not use the supporting handle as a carrying handle, as it has not been de-
signed for carrying!
CAUTION - Watch out for the pinch point at the groove opening to avoid injuries when extend-
ing and retracting the supporting handle!
The stair climber was developed to be operated by one person. This person must have been trained and be
physically and mentally capable of operating the CR23 safely! However, it is recommended to operate the
device with a second person as a backup. For minors aged 16 and over, only under supervision.
Pull out the supporting handle
for this purpose.
» The locking is done via the
lock pin.
Retracting the
supporting handle
If the supporting handle is
not needed, it can be pushed
back in manually.
The supporting handle off ers the securing trained accompa-
nying person the possibility to guide the CR23 when climbing
the stairs.
