Configuring the fax server

The server-based fax service integrated on the application card converts
incoming messages into PDF files and sends them to the recipient as e-mail
attachement. When outgoing PDF files in e-mail attachements are converted
into fax messages. This section deals only with the configuration of the fax
server. To configure the entire fax service, you need additional configuration
steps.

Routing of incoming fax messages

DDI numbers for receiving external fax messages are monitored directly by the fax
server and are not linked with a call distribution element. The fax server converts
fax messages of the type Group 3 fax into an e-mail with attachment and sends it
to the destination user. Use of the fax service is subject to fax licences.

must adapt the registry as follows on each PC:
Start the fax client setup, with the following parameter request, whereby you
must replace

/v“REG_ADDREXTFAXPREFIX=\”[SMTP:\”

REG_ADDREXTFAXPOSTFIX=\”@fax.local]\””

"AddrExtFaxPostfix"="@fax.local"
