4. Hold the fork tight using your left
hand and push the lever towards
the fork until it is opened again.
The lever must not stick out to
avoid danger of injuries. The
lever is safely attached if you
must use efforts to push it into
the closed position. The efforts
are appropriate if the lever leaves a mark on the palm of your
hand when pressing. If the lever is closed, the label OPEN is
not visible any longer. A properly closed quick-relase cannot be
moved anymore unless it is reopened as specified above. If you
can move the mechanism slightly, open the lever of the quick
release, turn the adjusting nut by another 180° and try again.
5. Make sure that the brake disk has correct fit between the brake
calipers and is correctly adjusted.
If such installation and adjustment of the brake is not completely
clear, ask your A2B specialist dealer to adjust the brakes of your
A2B for you. Incorrectly adjusted brakes might have a reduced
brake efficiency which may lead to an accident with severe or even
fatal injuries and/or material damage. Do NOT use your A2B if you
are not sure whether the brakes work properly.
Remounting the front wheel
1. Position the front wheel in the
fork in such a way that the quick
release lever will be on the left-
hand side of the fork.
2. Adjust the lever to the open
position (OPEN, i.e. the lever
is bent away from the hub) and
push the front wheel axle into the
dropouts of the fork.
3. Turn the adjusting nut on the right-
hand side of the hub in clockwise
direction so that you can feel
resistance when closing the lever
(when the lever is parallel to the
midline of the hub).
