Location
When placing the toaster into service, pay attention to
the following guidelines.
• Make sure power to the unit is off and the toaster
is at room temperature.
• It is recommended that this unit be placed on a
McDonald’s approved “Made For You” toaster
cart.
• Do not block or cover any openings on the unit.
• Do not immerse cord or plug in water.
• Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not allow cord to hang over edge of table or
counter.
• Always tighten the locking ring on the plug.
Connect the unit to the power supply. Refer to the
specification plate for the proper voltage.
WARNING
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. FAILURE TO
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL
COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
• Electrical ground is required on this appliance.
• Do not modify the power supply cord plug. If
it does not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet
installed by a qualified electrician.
• Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.
• The toaster should be grounded according to local
electrical codes to prevent the possibility of electri-
cal shock. It requires a grounded receptacle with
separate electrical lines, protected by fuses or cir-
cuit breaker of the proper rating.
• Check with a qualified electrician if you are in
doubt as to whether the appliance is properly
grounded.
Unpacking
1. Remove the UTX-200 (Figure 1) and all packing
materials from the shipping carton.
2. Open the accessories box and remove the con-
tents. The accessories box should contain the fol-
lowing items (see Figure 2):
• 1 Bun Buffer
• Plastic bag containing 2 Release Sheets (one
is factory installed in the unit).
3. Remove all protective coverings from the unit and
parts.
4. Wash the Bun Buffer, Bun Feeder, Crumb Tray,
and Breakfast Chute in hot, soapy water, rinse in
clean water, and allow to air dry.
5. Next, wipe the entire exterior of the unit and the
accessories listed above with a clean cloth damp-
ened with
KAYQUAT II™ Sanitizer (HCS)
and
allow to air dry.

CAUTION
1. Provide at least 1 inch (25.4 mm) clearance on
both sides of the UTX-200 (or CTX-200 if used with
the UTX-200) from any combustible wall or sur-
face. Leave front and back open.
2. Do NOT operate unit on a combustible counter
top.
