If the Scanner
won’t turn on, check the
power supply cables and connectors, and the
state of the power on/off rocker switch. See
Figure 2
for the exact location of the power
on/off switch.
Switching the Scanner off
To switch the
Pannoramic® DESK FLASH DX
off, push the
0
side down of the power
on/off rocker switch at the 24V external power supply unit of the Scanner. See
Figure 2
for the exact location of the mains power switch.
Warning!
Before switching the Scanner off, the user must assure that digitization process is
completely finished, and there is no slide in the scanner.
Emergency shutdown
In case of emergency, press the
0
side down of the power on/off rocker switch of the
24V external power supply unit to turn off the Scanner immediately.
Power failure
After an emergency shutdown or power failure (if no UPS is used), upon restarting the
PANNORAMIC® Diagnostic Scanner Software
and the Scanner, the actual status at the
time of the shutdown can be restored.

This section includes detailed information on how to prepare and insert slides into the Scanner.
Preparation of glass slides

Always wear personal protective equipment (safety goggles, gloves and coat) when
working with bio-hazardous material or slides.
