POSTCURE 1050 OPERATION
The PostCure 1050 system is a fast, automated solution for all of your SLA/Figure 4 curing needs. The following sections will
describe how to operate the machine, from setting up a curing cycle to removing the cured parts from the chamber.
6.1 PostCure 1050 User Interface
The PostCure 1050 has a touch-screen-based Graphical User Interface (GUI), which is used to control the actions of the machine
and adjust settings. Please use the following guidelines when using the GUI.
1. The touchscreen is a capacitive touch screen, meaning that it registers an input whenever something holding an electric
charge (like fingers) touches it. Touch input has been tested to work with lab-quality, powder-free gloves; however, you
should ensure that you do not touch the screen if you have recently handled uncured resin or partially cured printed parts.
This is to keep the complete functionality of the screen intact and to not contaminate it.
2. To wipe fingerprints off the touch screen, use a microfiber cloth.
3. Do not attempt to remove the touch screen or its mount from the machine.
4. If the touch screen becomes damaged to the point of not functioning properly, cease printing and contact 3D Systems
Service.
5. If resin does get on the screen, clean immediately with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and a nonabrasive cloth.
The Start/Stop button below the GUI has many functions:
1. If the machine is in a Ready state, push the button to begin a curing job.
2. If the machine is currently curing, push the button to pause the job.
3. If the machine is in a paused state, push the button to resume the curing job.
4. If the machine is in a completed or error state, pushing the button will do nothing.
The LED on the start/stop button also changes color to indicate certain things:
1. LED off - ready/idle
2. Solid green - either curing or calibrating
3. Fast flashing green - machine is paused or pausing
4. Slow flashing green - either curing or calibrating is complete
5. Solid red - aborted or error state
6. Flashing red - aborting
7. If start/stop button is pushed to start a curing job while doors are open, the LED will flash red.
The GUI has three tabs with different functionality:
